Final Generation William Neile Acoustic Loading Horn Series – Part II

The next product in my #finalgeneration acoustic loading optimized horn series is the WN300RA. I thought long and hard about whether I should develop separate versions for 1.4-inch and 1.5-inch drivers, and in the end, I decided to offer a product with maximum flexibility. Since the #finalgeneration series was designed from the ground up with interchangeable adapters, two different adapter versions are available for the WN300RA (1.4-inch and 1.5-inch entry), allowing virtually any driver available on the market to be mounted. The screw mounting slots offer additional flexibility for different screw mount distances. The size for WN300RA is based on the well-known WN300ALO, which has recently found a very satisfied new owner. Since then, my design has undergone dramatic improvements, including through #ALOV2 and #SQPV2 and the use of a variety of additional different profile functions. This has significantly improved directional control in all radiation planes and substantially increased the acoustic loading capabilities.

Final Generation William Neile Acoustic Loading Horn Series – Part I

I have been running this blog since 2019 and have since examined a wide variety of horn types, reprogrammed historical design algorithms from scratch, developed innovative enhancements, and made them available to the community from time to time. In addition, completely new ground-breaking horn types have been developed.

Acoustic Loading Optimized Final Generation Horns – ALOV2

Most readers of my blog should already be familiar with the special optimization technique for my acoustic loading horns which I have called Acoustic Loading Optimized (ALO) horns. The main focus is to get very good acoustic loading horns together with excellent and even directivity control. Almost all horns that are based solely on acoustic loading optimized profile fail in this regard because they more or less strongly focus the sound toward high frequencies.

Over the past years, I have learned a lot about acoustic horns and have continuously developed and significantly improved my inventions in this field. The results are my final generation acoustic horns, which I will be presenting in detail in the near future. The first step is the presentation of the improvement of the ALO procedure to ALOV2.
